The massage, Okazaki Restorative Massage (ORM), or Long Life Massage, classically referred to as Seifukujitsu, became an accepted system of massage by the American Massage Therapist Association (AMTA) in 1984. An oriental massage, comparable in a sense to Shiatsu (Japanese Medical Massage), has roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
ORM is a vital tonification program and a very powerful ingredient for personal power and longevity if received regularly. There is a "pulse" inherent in ORM. It is considered a circulatory massage, which increases the flow of not only vital fluids within the body but also Chi, an internal energy that flows as well. It will reduce pain, increase mobility and give a feeling of well being.
DanZan Ryu Jujitsu is about balance. This can be reflected in the Yin/Yang. In massage one may become relaxed if uptight or one may gain energy if listless. In martial arts training an aggressive person may become more reserved while a timid person more confidant. Balance...the key.
